I really want it to be the first official release but the change log since the last rc is pretty extensive and we should probably wait for at least one more candidate to get out there before going with a stable release. I am hoping to make RC8 available by this time next week, then shooting for our first official release before the end of the year.

I think that the current SVN will be VERY similar to the final RC8 code so if you don't want to wait you can grab it from the last link on the Download page.
