Icon Change - Rules and Permissions

Hello, first post. Really Like this software and the Skins for it.

My question is this, are we as users of Hastymail allowed to change the favicon icon that gets displayed in the webbrowser tab or header field? I could not find this in the license area and I do not want to violate any rules of using the software.

I would really like to more personalize this for our company and would like to know if I can or if I have permission to do so.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Icon Change - Rules and Permissions

Our licensing is intended to protect redistribution that might inhibit use of the software. We want Hastymail2 to remain free and open source so that it is available to anyone. Any modifications that are made, and *distributed*, are covered under the same license (the GPL) as the original software thus insuring that the source will be freely available. We do not however place any restrictions on usage, so you are free to modify the software to your hearts content and use it for whatever purpose suits your needs. In fact this sort of customization is encouraged because it often leads to improvements, that when relayed back to the dev team, can be incorporated into the main code and benefit the entire community. So in short there is nothing you can do to customize your usage of Hastymail that will infringe the license. If you have any questions about how to go about specific customizations or run into any problems don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks for the feedback,
Jason
