The first release candidate for the next stable version of Hastymail2 is now available. There are a few more fixes since the last news update and still two known issues to resolve. The known issues are a display related problem with IE9 and certain themes, and a problem with the auto-save draft feature on the compose page with the EIMS IMAP server. We encourage all users to upgrade to this version as it has tons of fixes and improvements over the last stable release. After 5 months of development the first release of Hastymail2 is ready. This release is a beta version to expand our test base and work out kinks as we move toward a stable version. We are excited to release this code and invite anybody interested to give it a try and share your thoughts and feedback. This version will be followed by at least 2 more beta releases before we start putting together candidates for a stable series.
