I am happy to announce that the first release candidate of Hastymail2 is now available for download. As always a big thanks to everyone who has been testing and providing feedback and bug reports. This will be the first of 3 or 4 release candidates as we finalize the code for the first stable release of Hastymail2. There are quite a few fixes and updates since the Beta 3 release and I encourage everyone to upgrade and let us know what you think. The following are the change log entries since the last news update:

Update time again. There have been a handful of fixes as well as some more testing and feedback since the last news update. Enough to warrant a snapshot release on the Download page. Unless something unusual happens I expect this snapshot to be very similar to the next official release. Speaking of which I think it is about time to switch from beta releases to release candidates, and I hope to get an RC-1 out within the next week or two. Thanks again to everyone who has been checking out Hastymail and providing feedback. As of now all reported bugs are fixed and my list of to-do items is primarily housekeeping.

It has been hard to find time to work on Hastymail but both development and testing have been going well. The result is a handful of updates to SVN. The next release should be right around the corner and I think this time I am going to change from beta releases to stable release candidates. Thanks to everyone who has posted in the forums or reported problems. Here is what's new since the third beta release:

We are pleased to announce a new Hastymail2 beta release. Many issues have been resolved since the last release, and quite a bit has been done in SVN since the last news update. The CHANGES file in the source has all the details of whats new since the beta 2, and the following updates to SVN pick up where the last news update left off. Thanks to all the folks supplying great feedback and bug reports, keep up the good work!

Its been a while since I last updated. Development has slowed a bit but testing and feedback have been great, several bugs have been fixed, and others reported that will be addressed soon. Once I get through the next round of issues and finish some things I have in the works the third beta release will be ready to go. Thanks to everyone who submitted a bug report or posted in the forums. Here is whats been going on since the last update

It's been about a month since the first beta release of the new Hastymail code and I am happy to announce the second beta version is ready for download. I had hoped to have some more plugin development done by this point but if nothing else, thanks to all the helpful feedback from testers, many issues reported after the first beta release are corrected.

Code and Site Updates for June 10

As hoped last weeks release has expanded our testing and revealed several bugs that are now fixed. Only one new feature was added and the rest of the changes since the release are fixes. There have also been some site additions in the last few weeks worth mentioning, including making snapshots of SVN available for download between beta releases. I'm happy to say that even with a very modest amount of downloads the beta release combined with other project activity pushed Hastymail into the top 1% of most active projects at Sourceforge. Many thanks to those of you doing testing and submitting feedback.

After 5 months of development the first release of Hastymail2 is ready. This release is a beta version to expand our test base and work out kinks as we move toward a stable version. We are excited to release this code and invite anybody interested to give it a try and share your thoughts and feedback. This version will be followed by at least 2 more beta releases before we start putting together candidates for a stable series.

It was another busy week for Hastymail development with 45 SVN commits since last weeks update. Much of the work was on translations, and most of the larger commits where moving strings into the language file and out of the site_page_class.php file and the templates. Most of the other new features and fixes were a direct result of testing and feedback from the great group of folks who hang out in our IRC channel. Thanks for the support and feedback, your help is really appreciated and Hastymail is better thanks to you. Here is this weeks list of updates:
