Hastymail2 is an Open Source IMAP webmail client written in PHP. Our focus is compliance, usability, security, and speed.
2015-04-16 Update:

Sadly Hastymail2 is no longer being maintained. Happily this is because we are working on a new web-based E-mail client, called Cypht. If you need support your best bet is the #hastymail IRC channel at freenode. Thanks to everyone who contributed to and supported this project!

Code Updates for September 7

It has been hard to find time to work on Hastymail but both development and testing have been going well. The result is a handful of updates to SVN. The next release should be right around the corner and I think this time I am going to change from beta releases to stable release candidates. Thanks to everyone who has posted in the forums or reported problems. Here is what's new since the third beta release:

- Made it possible to setup a site specific "logo" in the config file. The logo appears on every page after the page icon and before the folder list in the toolbar. It defaults to "Hm2"

- Added a SORT parsing speed up that greatly improves load times for large folders. It is NOT RFC compliant so there is also an option in the config file (imap_disable_sort_speedup) to disable this option and use the standard compliant line parsing routine. SORT responses are a list of UID numbers separated by spaces so I consider this optimization safe enough to enable by default especially considering how significant the performance gain is.

- Added a class to themes to style messages in a list that are flagged for both the mailbox and search results pages.

- Improved HTML to text conversion when replying to HTML parts

- Fixed a bug that made folders with only numbers in the name unselectable

- Fixed the mailbox page to automatically adjust to the correct page number if the supplied page value in the URL is greater than the maximum contained in that folder. It can be triggered by going to the last page of a mailbox listing and deleting all the messages on that page.

- Removed unneeded character set lookup in the imap class

- Added support for Firefox 3 mailto: protocol so mailto links can be registered and open in Hastymail2
